On 16 September 2024 the Bolshoi Wind Quintet performed at the Catherine Palace as part of the Grand International Tchaikovsky Festival, Tchaikovsky. Reloaded.<\/p>\n

The programme featured excerpts from celebrated Bolshoi operas and ballets, together with other works. Listeners heard Sergei Lysenko\u2019s original Fantasy on Themes from Tchaikovsky\u2019s The Queen of Spades. The concert concluded with August Klughardt\u2019s rarely performed nineteenth-century Wind Quintet in C major.<\/p>\n

Performers: Nikolai Popov, flute; Sergei Lysenko, oboe; Sergei Petrov, clarinet; Andrei Rudometkin, bassoon; Alexei Raev, horn.<\/p>\n
