On 14 June, Creative Encounters brought musicians of the Bolshoi Theatre Orchestra together in concert. The programme featured works by flautist Nikolai Popov, including A Frontline Diary, The Poison of Madness, Walks Above the Neva and Moscow Fantasy.
The performers were Anna Grishina, piano; the Bolshoi Wind Quintet — Nikolai Popov, Sergei Lysenko, Sergei Petrov, Alexei Raev and Andrei Rudometkin — and the orchestra’s Cocktail Classic string quintet: Alexander Kalashkov and Elnara Krasilova, violins; Yevgenia Popova, viola; Stepan Khudyakov, cello; and Kirill Nosenko, double bass.
